It's not just ANY corn bread mix, it's an authentic Southwest blend that's truly flavorful. We consider it very gourmet. It's not as sweet as most others - in fact, it has a BIG bite from the diced jalapeno chiles that we've added. And, it has a moistness not to be found in most corn breads. But, if you prefer it dry, simply set the oven 25 degrees cooler & bake 10 minutes longer. It's great with any kind of dried legume dish, soups, chili, posole, stews, & any meal with which bread is served.
